To begin learning, create a free Linguist Pro account using your email address and password. Once your account has been created, your learning progress is securely saved so you can continue whenever you return. Creating an account also allows your XP, streaks, completed lessons, and subscription status to be stored safely.
If you already have an account, simply log in using your email address and password. If you have previously signed in on your device, Linguist Pro may automatically keep you signed in so you can continue learning immediately. If you forget your password, you can reset it from the login screen.
Linguist Pro offers two membership options. Linguist Standard (Free): One active language, daily lesson limit, daily practice limit, daily AI Partner messages, Grammar Handbook, Culture & History Guides, and Practice Mistakes. Linguist Pro (Premium): Everything included in Standard plus multiple active languages, unlimited lessons, unlimited practice, unlimited AI Partner conversations, Grammar & Culture Insight in every lesson, and the ability to review any completed lesson below your placement level. Pro is designed for learners who want unlimited access and greater flexibility while studying.
When you first begin, simply choose the language you would like to learn. Standard members can study one language at a time. Pro members can learn multiple languages simultaneously.
Standard members can switch to another language whenever they like. Because the free tier only allows one active language at a time, changing languages may replace your current learning path. Pro members can freely switch between all their active languages without losing progress.
Lessons are designed to gradually build your language skills. Each lesson introduces new vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structures before building on them in future lessons. Complete lessons in order to unlock new content and strengthen your understanding step by step.
Practice sessions review vocabulary and grammar you have already learned. Repeating previous content helps improve long-term memory and confidence.
Practice Mistakes creates custom review sessions using questions you previously answered incorrectly. Regularly practicing mistakes is one of the fastest ways to improve weak areas.
The Grammar Handbook explains how your target language works. Topics are organised from beginner to advanced and include simple explanations with examples to help you understand grammar rules rather than memorise them.
Learning a language is also about understanding the people who speak it. The Culture & History section includes historical events, traditions, customs, interesting facts, and cultural explanations that provide deeper context behind the language.
Throughout your lessons you will occasionally see Grammar & Culture Insights. These provide additional explanations that help you understand grammar rules, vocabulary origins, and cultural context. Standard members receive one Insight each day. Pro members receive Insights throughout every single lesson.
The AI Partner allows you to practise natural conversations in your target language. Ask questions, role-play real situations, or simply chat to improve your confidence. Although we work hard to ensure accuracy, AI-generated responses may occasionally contain mistakes or regional differences. If something appears incorrect, please report it so we can continue improving the learning experience.
Earn XP by completing lessons and practice sessions. Learning consistently builds your daily streak and helps track your overall progress.
Your email address can be updated at any time through your Account Settings.
Forgot your password? Use the Forgot Password option on the login screen to receive a secure password reset link via email.
You can permanently delete your account from the Account Settings page. Deleting your account permanently removes your learning progress, achievements, and saved information. This action cannot be undone.
Pro subscriptions can be managed directly from the Subscription section inside Settings. You can view your current plan, upgrade, cancel, or renew your subscription at any time.
Eligible users may receive a free trial period before beginning a paid subscription. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged.
Cancelling your Pro subscription stops future billing renewals. Your subscription will remain active until the current billing period finishes. Afterwards, your account will automatically return to the free Standard tier.
First check your internet connection. If the problem continues, restart the app or sign out and log back into your account.
Languages naturally vary between countries and regions. Although every lesson is carefully reviewed, occasional errors or regional differences may occur. If you believe you have found a mistake, please report it using the Contact Support form. Every report helps improve the platform for everyone.
Artificial Intelligence is a learning tool and should not be considered perfect. Occasionally, the AI may generate incorrect information or use unfamiliar regional expressions. We continuously improve our language models and appreciate feedback on incorrect responses.
